Growing up I hated PCs. Though a necessary part of my life for both education and for work, nothing else had quite the same ability to drive me to absolute despair over the simplest of tasks! It was only after years of wasted hours – being dictated to by whatever problems my PC decided to throw at me – stress levels consistently on high over the simplest of tasks – that I discovered there was another way..

My good friend Al, who’s been a Mac addict since back in the nineties used to love ribbing me about how inferior my PC was to his “Daddy Mac”. I obviously fought this off most of the time as idle banter, until the point arrived where I could literally no longer stomach having to pretty much be my own programmer just to use my laptop effectively. It had to go. That was that.

So around the time when Mac and PC ‘integration’ came about, through the use of dual-boot systems and virtual machines, I decided that these Apple things warranted closer inspection. After all, if I could still do everything my PC was (supposed to be) doing then it was just like gaining a whole new extra system to play with, besides I’ve always had a keen sense of adventure, so off down the path I went.

Now I can honestly say that I haven’t looked back. Buying an iMac completely changed my World – and that was for this one simple overriding reason: The darn thing does exactly what I expect it to do..! What a revelation and a true breath of fresh air (if you’ll excuse the unintentional pun).

Not only that, but in stark contrast to it’s arch rival ‘PC’, the Mac seems to perform tasks almost intuitively, as if it knows your every desire, demand and need before you even know it  yourself. I love my Mac. Not in a sexual way, as a certain Italian recently said of our Prime Minister Gordon Brown. But at times, probably not too far off.

On that note I should probably get on with some work, which incidentally is far more of a pleasure than a chore nowadays, and that’s thanks in no small part to my inspired crossover into the realm of all things Apple. But certainly not before I sit back with my remote and check out the latest DVD Movie releases, all available in glorious HD on my 24″ screen at the flick of a button of course.

    Welcome to Woohoogle.com

This is intended as a place to offer up and discuss different ideas and approaches to making money online.

The Internet is a fascinating entity which has had a gargantuan impact on our ability to share information, communicate, interact and conduct business with people all over the Earth’s surface. Furthermore, all this has come to be taken largely for granted inside a mere fifteen years or so..!

It seems that despite all this, we are still at the very beginning of an almighty journey into the realms of possibility, when it comes to how far the Internet and other associated technologies can take us.

“Now, let’s get down to business..!”: Along with the ever expanding possibilities and leaps forward in technology we are witnessing, come ever growing opportunities for making money! (£$€) And personally speaking, I don’t think I know of anybody who is not interested in making money..?! Whilst it can be highly dangerous and arguably immoral to treat money as end in itself, it does happen to be one of the most useful catalysts for achieving success in our ambitions and in our daily lives (which obviously comes into play beyond the basic need for survival.) So figuring out how to generate money effectively and legally in exchange for goods or services can only be a good thing, as it allows us to grow and develop as people, and ultimately it affords us the freedom to explore our own human potential, both individually and collectively, as a planet. In my opinion, there can be no greater goal than this!

The widespread growth and adoption of the Internet, which we are continuing to experience day-by-day, not only provides new opportunities for Technology-focused companies to make money, but also a wealth of opportunity for, essentially, all the businesses in existence today! How so? The reason for this is straightforward and simple: Marketing is a critical element of any business. It is the function which raises awareness of any product or service, without which business cannot be transacted. Put simply, unless you tell people about your business (ie your product or service) in a way which appeals to them, then why should they care? And indeed they won’t, as any experienced business owner will tell you.

Now, what the Internet allows you to do is to control your Marketing in such a way that you can target the right people with the right message, in a way that was almost unthinkable before it’s development.. There are many good examples and ways to illustrate this. Take a classified advert in a newspaper for example. The person who placed the classified ad is relying heavily on the laws of probability to bring them their business: In other words, they are hoping that somebody who is interested in what they are offering happens to buy the paper on the particular day they advertise, happens to find the page with their advert on, happens to read their advert, and happens to be willing to make the effort to contact them to discuss it..! Phew. Well there’s ‘hope’ for you.

Okay, now contrast this with an online advert: The advertiser in this case is able to place their ad specifically in front of their target audience. It may be placed on an informational web page relevant to the product or service on offer; or it may even be tailored to appear instantaneously to somebody who is searching for the exact product (or service) on offer, at the exact moment that they are searching for it..! The likelihood of obtaining results with these type of approaches is intrinsically far greater. But that’s not all.. the results achieved can then be precisely monitored, and future efforts adjusted to improve on them..! Okay. So now we’re talking.

The most important leaps forward in Internet Marketing have come about through the clever use of Search Engines for business purposes. Having been designed initially to help people find the specific information they seek in a quick and accurate fashion, as they do very effectively, search engine technology can also essentially be used ‘in reverse’ by businesses, in order to find out specifically what people are looking for..!! This is the key concept which now allows businesses who have the necessary knowledge and skills, or indeed know how to get them, to achieve a whole different kind of leverage in their chosen marketplaces.

Hence the name chosen for this site. Most people out there who have the ability to use a computer and get onto the Internet will have heard of the company who has grown to be the largest and most prominent search engine, by far, in the online sphere today. Heck, their company name is even widely used as a ‘verb’ amongst internet seachers around the world.. However, it is our belief that once people truly understand the real power of the tools available at their fingertips, to conduct the businesses of their choosing, and to earn the money that they need in order to achieve their heart’s desires, well..  The words ‘Woohoo’ and ‘Google’ might just become indistinguishable.
